Privacy Policy for John Webber's Browser Extensions

This policy applies specifically to browser extensions developed by John Webber (the "Developer"), available on the Google Chrome Web Store, the Microsoft Edge Add-ons Store and the Firefox Browser Add-ons Store (collectively, the "Platforms"). It is separate from the privacy policy for this website, which has different data practices and can be found here.

Your privacy is of the utmost importance. This policy is intended to be clear and transparent about how the extensions operate and to reassure you that your data is not being collected or used.

1. Guiding Principles

My extensions are designed with the following core privacy principles in mind:

  • No Third-Party Code: The extensions are developed without the use of third-party code. This ensures that your use of the extensions does not expose you to the data collection practices of any external services.
  • Minimal Permissions: Each extension is designed to request only the minimum permissions necessary for its core functionality.

2. Data That Is NOT Collected

To be perfectly clear, my browser extensions DO NOT collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

  • Personally identifiable information.
  • Financial and payment information.
  • Health information.
  • Authentication information, such as logins and passwords.
  • Website content and form data.
  • Your browsing history or web browsing activity.
  • User-generated content.

Since no data is collected, none of your data is ever sold to third parties or data brokers.

3. How the Extensions Use Local Storage

Some of my extensions may use your browser's local storage (such as the Chrome Storage API) to save your settings or preferences for that specific extension. This data is stored on your own device and is not transmitted to me or any third party. This is similar to how a website might use cookies to remember your preferences.

My extensions are subject to the policies of the platforms on which they are available, including:

  • Firefox Browser ADD-ONS

I am committed to complying with the requirements of each of these platforms.
